Vilnius Legal Hackers team is greeting you! We have been founded during pandemic in April 28th of 2020. Our team is composed by gender balanced and city balanced team, half of us are from capital city Vilnius and other half from ex-capital city Kaunas (both are the biggest in Lithuania). We are coming from academic, legal, NGO and business sectors.

Paulius Astromskis Dr. Paulius Astromskis is a technology lawyer, scholar and speaker. He is providing legal solutions for clients in various Tech industries, focusing on corporate and compliance issues of FinTech companies. His ongoing research agenda focuses on Tech solutions for legal problems, regulation of Artificial Intelligence and future of legal education. The topic of his 2nd PhD thesis @ Pompeu Fabra University (Spain) is “Regulation Model of Electronic Persons”. He established a non-profit undergraduate research centre “Future Law Lab” that serves as a forum for various Law & Tech discussions with the special focus on development of various LegalTech projects. | Justina Kugytė Justina Kugytė is a lawyer, startup advisor, a head of Kaunas Coding School. |
Marius Laurinaitis Dr. Marius Laurinaitis is an assistant professor at Mykolas Romeris University, he directs the law and FinTech study program. He obtained PhD degree in law from Mykolas Romeris University in 2015 (the topic of PhD Thesis was related to the Legal Regulation of Electronic Money). He is the executive editor of International Scientific Research Journal “Intellectual Economics”. His research interests include IT law, privacy and personal data protection law, electronic identification law, electronic payments law, electronic money. He has over 15 publications primarily in the field of law, financial services and IT. | Martynas Mockus Ph.D. Martynas Mockus holds Joint International Doctoral (Ph.D.) Degree in Law, Science, and Technology. He has been lecturing and leading students, lawyers and public servants in the law and computer science domain since 2005. His research interests are legal ontologies, legislation 2.0, and regulation of disruptive technologies and phenomenons. |
Aušrinė Pasvenskienė Dr. Aušrinė Pasvenskienė is the dean of the Faculty of Law at Vytautas Magnus University. She also is a lawyer in a legal company. | Ernesta Seiliūtė Ernesta Seiliūtė has been assisting international and domestic companies on various IP & IT law related matters, incl. implementation of IP Enforcement Programmes, in Lithuania and other Baltic States. Since her legal practice was mainly concentrated on the IT industry, privacy and cybersecurity matters were inseparable part of her daily routine. She worked as a regional IP Counsel in the area of fight against counterfeit goods which gave her an opportunity to expand her IP knowledge in Polish and Finnish markets. Now Ernesta is a member of one of Europe’s most innovative legal companies Fondia team, where she is continuing her professional activities in Privacy & Data Protection, IP & IT law areas and searching for means how to make legal services as understandable as possible. |
